Who am I?

IMG_4758.jpg

I design and produce artwork, including branding or just a logo, for small and large businesses, charities and individuals.  I have extensive experience producing all kinds of graphics, including general publicity (adverts, leaflets, posters, signage and conference stage design) and publication layout (brochures, handbooks and guides) for the UK public sector, academic groups, a children's music band and an opera festival (my first very basic website).

I have a varied background including art college, working in fashion and media support roles, making anatomical models, producing educational material, teaching and making my own artwork (one of my mixed media creations was part of a display touring schools on the Art Bus in Scotland back in 1997).

I graduated in Zoology from University of Bristol (1994) but didn't pursue this career. Instead I used the skills I gained (such as analysis, planning and research) to pursue a more creative career. I worked my way to communication support roles and into event organisation to producing information artwork, presentations and publicity.  From this I managed to land a full time publication role and I haven't looked back.

I completed a graphic design and illustration HNC with a Distinction, while working, in 2007. My knowledge and experience is of great benefit to my clients but I am always keen to explore more and would jump at the chance to demonstrate my creative skills further. I can offer sound print production knowledge, a broad range of IT skills and creative ideas, with reliable, proactive support work where needed.
